I'll be honest I don't see much purpose for this board, based on the prices I could find here in the EU, the supermicro c2558 itx board (A1SRi-2558F) is only 10% more expensive.

While the c2558 does use quite a bit more electricity, it also has a greater base frequency, Intels quickassist crypto engine, more PCIexpress lanes (c2558 has 16x v2 lanes vs. the 4x v2 of the n3700, the two supermicro boards expose respectively 8 and 1 lanes in their x8 slot), support for more RAM, ECC RAM and more SATA ports.

I guess the upside for the x11sba-ln4f is that it has better builtin graphics, if you want to connect it directly to a monitor, but I fail to see why you would do that with this board o_O

Would be interested to know what you find out since I am up in Canada as well.
Got a quote for the X11SBA-LN4F - $285 CDN and ETA of Aug 20th..

Although, for pfSense the other MB with 15W (vs 6W) for a little bit more does make more sense:
A1SRi-2558F $303.85 CDN - with QuickAssist for future pfSense versions that will support it.

I will have to get some ECC ram though, it sounds as though the A1SRi-2558F board likely will not work with non-ECC ram:
Can the Supermicro X10SLM-F use non-ECC RAM

Ya at that price not worth it, better off going with one of the avoton 2358 or 2558 boards
