i have a sx6036 that front to back airflow and as I wanted it mounted on the back of my rack (short direct attach cables), it probably be best if it was reversed (though for a home lab probably not the biggest deal). Wondering if its possible to flip them easily/safely?

If you dont want to risk it you can buy the official fans/psu with reverse air flow...

for cheap? (considering it only cost me $200). At some point for home lab, I'd just deal with non optimal air as its not that many machines in the end. nor into corridor columns where this matters a lot as in a DC. I didn't see on ebay, but perhaps I searched poorly

cheap is always relative - but maybe somebody is willing to trade? Worth a try:)

so I looked at a power supply, the 4 screws on the fan come out easy, but then don't see any way to actually remove / flip the fan, it just jiggles in place, can't seem to get it out without possibly bending metal away.

I just pulled the PS out, removed the screws and the fan was bale to be pushed up from the bottom. There is a screw on the side of the case by the fan. Maybe remove it to give you a little play.

tried and failed :/ put screws back in for now. couldn't get any movement on the side screws. worried I would destroy the screw, so didn't do much to them
