Your title is not accurate it is a LY2 not a LY2R (which for some reason has QNOS support for a longer period of time).

I have one of these, and can not recommend it. (I have even posted a thread on it)

The big problem is software, there are no good options if it doesn't come with something usable already.
It is not supported by SONIC, it had support by cumulus linux (but as the switch is old, it is not supported by a current release, also cumulus = expensive afaik), an option may be Open Network Linux (ONL) but it will not give you a functional NOS (you still need something for the switch stuff, OF-DPA may work, but don't expect it to be terribly useful).

In short: I recommend you find something else
