I am looking for a new office switch supporting a Ruckus 730 AP, probably a small Server (10G) and a bunch of 1G Devices.

Ideally that means I need
  • 1x 5G PoE+ capable port
  • 1x 10G Port Server (SFP/RJ45)
  • 1x 10G Uplink (RJ45)
  • 8+ x 1G RJ45 (Non Poe)
O/c basic functionality like VLANs, JumboFrames, SNMP Monitoring should be present.

I found these 2 switches so far :

  • Netgear MS510TXPP-100NAS
  1. $350 inc Tax new
  2. 29 dB max
  3. freely available FW
  4. Limited Lifetime Warranty if bought new
  • Cisco WS-C3560CX-8XPD-S
    1. $800 inc Tax used
    2. Fanless
    3. Freely available FW, 1 yr warranty used (3yr option +$200)
The Netgear is more flexible (and cheaper) but o/c is not fanless - not sure how loud its going to be with max 29dB (and me not using too much of the PoE budget in the first place).

The Cisco is the advanced choice o/c (support eg netflow, but with the Ruckus not supporting it I don't think I will really need that).

Are there other options I missed?

I've seen the SG350X-12PMV which would be very nice, edit: actually it does not seem to be available and if it is its probably out of budget new (3.5K$ Amazon, not sure if its a placeholder price)

Edit:
ICX 7150-C10ZP is also an option but way too expensive,
Trendnet TEG-7080ES but with 39.5 dBA (max. noise levels)
Most others seem to have 2SFP+ Ports as uplinks;/ Sure I could add a converter but I am not really keen on doing that unless its really worth the hassle (and extra cost)

Thanks

If price wasn’t too much of an issue, Cisco all the way, they are enterprise switch so reliable with known bugs.

Well found some cheaper offers in the US so considering them, probably round 550 inc tax.

Cisco model in question only supports 802.3bt type 3 which is 60 watt max. So if more power is needed it will not do.

Should be ok, the r730 has an optional 60W injector and a 36W power supply,
but thanks for the heads up :)

Don’t think there is any function difference just different revisions of internal components etc.
