Hello

I am planning to upgrade my home lab and need your advice on 10GbE switch.

  • Low power assumption and low noise. I have my rack in the living room so it is important
  • 8 or more SFP+ ports
  • L2 features like VLAN, jumbo frame
  • Support DAC cable
  • Optionally L3 static routing

Any suggestion is appreciated!

The icx 7250 is a better switch for the money, but its not quiet in a living room setting. I have a 7250 and a 6450 I'm trying to quiet by fan replacements..
Don't even get me started on the 6610 and 6450's I have

It looks CRS309-1G-8S+IN is quite promising. I mainly use the 10GbE switch for vSAN traffic, L3 throughput is not that important to me

I have 6610 and I won't recommend putting in the living room :) 7250 should be not as noisy :)
