That's a cheap one... I prefer stuff from Magma or One Stop Systems if you are going to do PCI-e expansion.

I would worry about the direct extension from the PCIe lane via a random USB3 cable. At least the Magma ones have a bus driver on each side so it can drive the cable properly and less risk of damage / interference to the PCIe interface your main box.

Well there's tons of people using USB 3.0 cables for miners with 6-8 GPUs per cheap system.

These have been tested and used by quite a few miners so they should work just fine.

I'm not ordering any as I'm sticking with closed 4U rackmount chassis, but some of you open air guys should give them a go :)

Can a Core i3 or Pentium address that many PCIe devices if you used 6-7 of them in a system?
