Hi all,

I’m looking for someone with genuine AMD EPYC SP5 / Supermicro server-hardware experience to help diagnose a no-POST system in person. I’m based in North Finchley, London, and I’m happy to pay for your time even if the problem can’t be fixed during the visit.

Hardware:

  • AMD EPYC 9355P
  • Supermicro H13SSL-N Rev 2.01
  • 12 × Micron MTC20F2085S1RC56BD1R DDR5 ECC RDIMMs
  • RTX 4090
  • be quiet! Dark Power Pro 13 1600W
  • ARCTIC Freezer 4U SP5
  • Kingston NV3 4 TB NVMe SSD
Current symptoms:

  • BMC/IPMI works normally
  • system powers on and fans run
  • remote KVM stays blank
  • POST Snooping stays at FFFF
  • no useful CPU/RAM errors appear in the Health Event Log
I’ve already tested a minimal configuration with the GPU and NVMe removed and only one RDIMM installed in DIMMA1/J12, and the behaviour is unchanged. I’ve also retorqued the CPU retention mechanism and cooler according to the manufacturer instructions.

Supermicro support case: SM2609240567

I’d ideally like someone who has physically worked with AMD EPYC SP5/LGA6096, Supermicro H13-series boards, or similar enterprise/server hardware to come over and help diagnose it.

Happy to send photos, IPMI screenshots, manuals, and a full history of what I’ve already tried.

Please DM me if you’re interested and let me know what similar hardware you’ve worked on before.

Thanks.
