But it's way cheaper to just buy the same. $720/mo
Yeah it might be but some folks like me Packet.net's AMD EPYC offering is just perfect. I have been waiting for ages to get my grubby hands on some AMD EPYC action for development work with my Centmin Mod LEMP stack project as I auto optimise LEMP stack installation based on detected cpu models/families and have Intel cpus nailed down. But without access to AMD EPYC I couldn't optimise for those cpus yet.

Then Packet.net came along and solved my problems offering AMD EPYC 7401P at ondemand $1/hr. But they have spot pricing too like AWS and I managed to squeeze in some quality time with AMD EPYC on Packet.net for spot prices between US$0.20/hr and US$0.40/hr so much cheaper than $1/hr on demand prices ! All up I have spent around 35 out of total 42hrs with Packet.net AMD EPYC 7401P and some other of their offerings all up for US$27.35 ! Thanks to Packet.net AMD EPYC spot pricing, I have already started my AMD EPYC cpu detection and optimisation routines for my Centmin Mod LEMP stack installer and even had some headway for ARMv8 (aarch64) too thanks to them offering Cavium ThunderX too :)

If i had to run AMD EPYC 24/7 30 days a month, Hivelocity would be better though i.e. AMD EPYC 7351P 32GB 240GB SSD with 100TB/month bandwidth system is around US$389/month and AMD EPYC 7401P same specs is around US$448/month and AMD EPYC 7551P is around US$638/month. The 100TB/month bandwidth quota would be better if bandwidth costs are a concern too.

But Packet.net works for me for simple test that requires a few hours there etc.

FYI, my Packet.net review and benchmarks at Benchmarks - Packet.net bare metal cloud AMD EPYC 7401P review & benchmarks :)
