I popped my Oracle F80 in my unraid server and am getting some odd smart data. Each drive has something similar to this in the 189 Offline Correctable reading:
upload_2017-2-9_21-13-57.png

That would be 271,201,414,938,624 sectors it thinks are bad? That would be amazing since the drive is 4x 2ooGB.

When I fired it up in a windows box crystal disk info seemed to indicate they only had about 31TB written to each but all of them look like the temps hit 72-75deg at some time. They currently sit at 46-52deg.

Is this smart info just wrong or should I RMA this drive?

If you run copy / writing to it and then re-do smart long and re-read data does anything change?

Waiting on the smart long test but a quick file copy gave me this
Code:
Start +500mb +8gb
70656506986496 70669391888384 70682276790272
12515534700544 12528419602432 12541304504320
146028888064 158913789952 171798691840
111776523878400 111789408780288 111802293682176
The drives are set up in a Raid10 as cache on a Unraid system.

I just snagged my F40 off the shelf I'll check SMART today and see what it says. (I've not used this device before so it may be DEAD)

@TType85 whatever became of this? Did your F80 eventually fail? Or did those crazy SMART numbers make no difference? I have a F40 that recently did this, where all 4 SSDs on the F40 had "Offline Uncorrectable" go from 0 to some very large numbers (see thread here: https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...-f40-nytro-drive-offline-uncorrectable.19518/)

Just wondering if I should take it offline or if it is nothing to worry about and I should stop monitoring those parameters...

I've run into the same situation. I just recently bought an F40 and smartmontools reported Offline Uncorrectable Sectors, but 'ddcli' reports that health is GOOD. I did notice that running 'smartctl' on the drive, it says that the drives are not in the DB, so my belief is that smartmontools are misreporting on these drives. I'm planning to use them but monitor with 'ddcli'.
