So here I am showing my ignorance regarding infiniband, again.
I've tried to set up infiniband under both Solaris 11.1 and Openindiana 151a8 on a C6100 node with a Connectx-2 VPI cards running the latest firmware. I used device manager to install the hermon driver and used terminal to install the ethernet over infiniband package. When using the command
dladm show-phys, I see the on-board NICs, but no infiniband ports. When using dladm show-ib, I get no return of an kind. The cfgadm -als "cols=ap_id:info" hca command does return the connectx card and shows two ports.
I'm lost from this point. The Solaris docs describing configuration doesn't specify what to do if "show-phys" doesn't return the IB ports.
Any suggestions are welcome. I could definitely use some Solaris schooling!
