I've got my all-in-one OI/Napp-IT setup working and would like some advice on RAM sizing. Besides 'more is better' for now I have only 8 GB in my ESXi 5 whitebox and I allocated 4.5 GB of RAM to OpenIndiana, but now I'm getting pinched for other VMs I want to run (or play with!).

I'm only asking OI to run a 3 drive (750 GB each drive) RAID-Z1 and I'm not trying to use Deduplication or anything like that. I'm only running AFP, NFS, and SSH on OI.

To what amount could I lower the memory of the OI VM and not have any instability? I could accept minor performance decrease.

Thank you.

And Gea, thank you so much for creating NAPP-IT! It's amazing.

absolute minimum is around 1 GB, i would not go below 1,5 GB
