Open Compute Server one node PFSense firewall build.

1 WiWynn Open Compute server node running latest PFSense
Cpu's 2x Xeon E5-2603 four core, 1.8 GHz, no Turbo Boost, no Hyperthreading.
8 x 1 Gb Hynix 8500 ecc ram
1 x 80 Gb Samsung hard drive.

8 threads and 8 gigs of ram should be plenty for a home network firewall, well probably overkill.

Well it will be more than enough to run what I will need it for.

Pic, kind of redundant since everyone knows what one of these looks like....:D

At first it did not want to display video, well these things can be finicky to mess with. I had to reset the bios and try another video card in the top slot only to get a display.

I need to get a Intel 1G pci-e nic to for more options, maybe a pfsense high availability CARP cluster?

Yea kind of overkill.

So im installing now.

And yes I know not the most power efficient setup.

Does not like UEFI install, seemed to install fine but no booting from the hard drive.

Rebooting to do a legacy install.
