Well, after FOUR days of debugging as to why my backup storage array crashed and was throwing errors like there's no tomorrow... Turns out it was a bad SAS cable. Maybe I was too aggressive on bending it to fit or zip tying it or something. Was working fine for a few months and suddenly went bad a few days ago.

I literally trolled ESXI/Microsoft/LSI forums, trying to determine what could be the cause and nothing...

It's fixed and off my chest now. :) Sorry, had to vent somewhere.

Cables can be really annoying. The cleaners took out the ethernet cable to my main wifi access point - they broke the rj45 clip but plugged it back in to cover up. Took me about 45 minutes to figure out what had happened.

Those big old SAS cables in the 90's were the worse.
