Saw the 1tb OCZ Technology Z-Drive R2 m84 on ebay for 300 BO - are they any good? I'm sure they're pretty old.

Stay far away from these. Among other issues*, they use SODIMM-form-factor sockets to hold individual flash modules, and those are very unreliable for some strange reason on these cards despite that form factor socket working fine in millions of notebooks.
* The controller on these is a LSI SAS 1068 (ancient) talking to multiple Sandforce 1.35 flash controllers. There's no reasonable way to update the firmware on those.
