Will NVMe M.2 form factor SSDs placed in an U.2 2.5" enclosure perform similar to their U.2 counter parts? And can they be used with the Supermicro's NVMe server lineup? Any enclosure recommendations?

Will perform in same was as they would the M.2 slot, but if in the 2.5 adapter make sure heat transfer pads etc so the cooling is as good or better.

Some U2 units are rated for higher speed than M2 of the same variety. I think heat was the reason for this
