nvme enabler cable?

got a 9405w lately to hook up some nvmes and ordered some standard sff-8643 cables, to my dismay they didnt work at all, and i realized these cards are pinned out differently and need a special 8643 cable called nvme enabler(probably well known in here i should have researched it better) but to my shock those cables are 100$+ each w t f.
anyone found these any cheaper?

they're expensive and not worth it at all. I couldn't get more than 600-900MB/s on 2TB Intel P3500 drives. I was using a Lenovo 530-8i erased and put on stock Broadcom firmware (equivalent to 9400-8i). Also, the smart data refused to pass through.

My advice is walk away and go buy a proper quad port NVMe card. They are cheaper, don't need proprietary wiring, and just work at native speed.

hm yea i dont know why i didnt think of that, i got the 9405w cheap so thought id put it to use but i can get a straight pcie 16x to 4x nvme 8643 bifurcation card for like 60$ i see now(LRNV93NF from linkreal), cheaper than one of those enabler cables haha.
if you have any other good recommendations iam all ears but i think i can just use that straight pcie-8643 card since 4ports is enough and mb does bifurication already.

Yeah if you have bifurcation support on your board, just jump on the linkreal. I have a linkreal pci-e switch card with 4x 8643 on my ryzen system (I don't have bifurcation support) and it works great.
