Not overly great but 480GB Crucial M500 down to $259

These had spiked up to almost $300 recently. Down to the lowest I've seen at Amazon for the 480GB one. I bought a 480GB earlier today and am just planning to OP it to a 400GB drive. The msata versions are only $5-10 more and starting to look mighty tempting.

Samsung is taking its sweet time pushing out the msata versions of 840 evo, and resellers are gouging accordingly. (MSRP is +$10 @ 1TB, real world +$100~200 right now)

I actually bought one of these yesterday and somehow it arrived today. I got it to test for a new colo architecture I've been tossing around the possibility of lately. So far I have a M500 960GB in my main workstation (I figure that is enough NAND) and four 240GB iterations.

Any word on stability with LSI megaraid? Do they live up to the fame of the samsung 830 as far as life etc? What kind of OP do you think these need?

Also Crucial always had aggressive sleep policy not sure how that works out! Let us know!
