and this is not quite interesting because I have to add customs tax and VAT.You can order RPC-4224 at ipcdirect.net. Shipping fee is $125 each enclosure.
Thx nitrobass24,
but tell me your smile that I have to made a new request again on Monday?I found it in GB, but they dont answer after my request and
I think the 12 bay would work great for me. Any word on price?Coming soon, ETA January 2011: 12-bay (2U) and 24-bay (4U) expander chassis. Has been in the works for some time at the urging of myself and others. Preliminary info is that it will a lot less deep than the RPC-4224, but not quite a RPC-4224 "cut in half". I believe its also coming with its own PSU, power board and SFF-8087 to SFF-8088 multi-adapter, though likely won't include an integrated expander at least initially. Details to follow.

I also wanted to buy my Norco 4224 chassis at this webshop. I think I'll wait now for the expander chassis very interesting option. I had email contact with the shop and they reply very fast but no stock till February...@ Layerbreak
I know the NL site (ri-vier) ships for a decent price. They told me it would cost me €34.10 to ship a RPC-470 to belgium.
I guess it's about the same for germany. No idea how their stock is tho.
ri-vier €474.81 incl. VAT + €34.10 shipping = €508.91@ Layerbreak

The NL-webshop have the case after Feb or March in stock - not before.I also wanted to buy my Norco 4224 chassis at this webshop. I think I'll wait now for the expander chassis very interesting option. I had email contact with the shop and they reply very fast but no stock till February...
What plates exactly? There are lots of screws for drives/ motherboards and etc. If you want to make a "name that piece" thread with pictures feel free to. I will tell you that Norco does change their designs a bit after release. The only con is that there is no instruction paper. There is a little cardboard box in the case with a lot of screws and small metal plates.
OK, the two U-plates are for different PSUs - but for what are the other items?
Any hints?
I suppose the expander chassis holds a LSI card! NORCO became one of alliance partners with LSI.Coming soon, ETA January 2011: 12-bay (2U) and 24-bay (4U) expander chassis. Take a look at Odditory's review, he explains it pretty good. http://www.mondostor.com/2010/09/norco-rpc-4224-4u-server-case-review.htmlI am surprised.
After @nitrobass24 post I started on Monday a new request by http://www.xcase.co.uk/24-bay-Hotswap-rackmount-chassis-norco-RPC-4224-p/case-xcase-rm424.htm.
Monday evening I get a answer that xcase shipped to Germany. Same day I have ordered the RPC-4224.
Jan, 06 is a public holiday in south germany and today the case arrived by DHL express.
Shipping costs are £17,60.

I have got from Norco too.and what look like 3.5" drive mounting brackets but Norco tells me are for mounting redundant power supplies.
