I think Patrick picked up like 8 of those, or similar.
He has a server they go into. I highly doubt you could hack these for a desktop.
I don't know about heat sinks, I think Patrick had to get creative with a source when he got his.

SXM is NVLink apparently.

how do i connect SXM/NVLink to my desktop? is there a card with ports on it i can use?

No such thing exists,
I bought 2 of these - SYS-1029GQ-TVRT to put 8 that i bought from this seller, Only certian systems accept SXM2 connectors and there is no PCIe adapters and dont expect them.

SXM is NVLink apparently.

how do i connect SXM/NVLink to my desktop? is there a card with ports on it i can use?

Yeah i did, It took me 1 week of emailing every single seller in the US to get a hold of them.
All but 1 actually sold them to me which by Supermicro is not aloud as they need to be sold pre-configured.

how much did you have to pay for the SYS-1029GQ-TVRT... ? and why wouldn't they work with sxm2 gpus?:)
