Newbie here. I think $400 is a great price. I wish I did not buy the Oracle/Sun 4036 from them for $237 yesterday!

And the reason I bought the infiniband switch is that I scored

for $240 plus shipping. $26 a piece for dual port 10/40Gbps Infiniband card!

anybody knows if it supports QSFP to 4x SFP+ breakout-cables?

But could replace lb4m + lb6m (with breakout-cables/when additional 10Gb net is desired) + qdr-swtich when network is converged, as it's not only switch but also ib/ethernet gateway.

I pay about €20 incl. vat per 100watts in the datacenter, so would be about 360 / year per switch - not nice :/

My 4036 uses ~60 watts. Not sure why adding ethernet would triple the power usage.

Good question - i have some 5022 that i should measure, they should be 50-70watts, what is ok.
