Doesn't show on their product pages, came accross this by accident.
Not quite sure how this fits in the scheme of things, the LSI9271 is a new look PCIe 3.0 board with SAS slots at the rear.
This card looks more like the LSI9266-8i but a choice of RAM is offered.
Whether it ever sees light of day or is an OEM only model time will tell.

MegaRAID SAS 9267-8i RAID Controller Quick Installation Guide

Product Overview
The MegaRAID SAS 9267-8i RAID controller is a PCI-Express® 3.0, low-profile RAID controller that offers a 6-Gb/s
transfer rate. The controller uses 1GB of DDR3 1333MHz memory (64-bit data and 8-bit ECC) or an optional 512MB of
DDR3 1333MHz memory (32-bit data and 8-bit ECC). In addition, it controls eight internal SAS/SATA ports through two
SFF-8087 mini-SAS 4i internal connectors.
The MegaRAID SAS 9267-8i RAID controller connects to a remote LSI intelligent Battery Backup Unit 09 (LSIiBBU09).
The LSIiBBU09 unit protects the integrity of the cached data on the RAID controller for up to 48 hours (depending on
the derated retention time selected) in case of a complete AC power failure or a brief power outage. For more
information about the LSIiBBU09 unit, refer to the MegaRAID LSIiBBU09 Intelligent Battery Backup Unit Quick Installation
Guide or the Cache Backup Products for MegaRAID SAS+SATA RAID Controllers User Guide on the MegaRAID Universal
Software Suite CD.
The following figure shows the MegaRAID SAS 9267-8i RAID controller.

Hmm... Interesting... I've never seen or heard of this before but if it's PCIe 3.0 then it's more like 9271-8i than 9266-8i (PCIe 2.0). I'm assuming this is SAS2208 (Dual Core) chip with PCIe 3.0 but why look so stripped down???? Perhaps this was some kind of OEM for LSI's client that needed this to be short depth to fit in to a small case or something...

The ultra-short length is nice - perhaps the only RAID card that would work in the abbreviated leftmost PCIe slot of a Dell C6145.
Welcome to the hooked on Dell C61xx series land :) Can tell you have been looking like I have.

So true. The 24-bay C6145 looked like a great solution for a high density quad AMD 6xxx database - except that it has only two IO controllers and only two usable PCIe slots. I need one IO controller per 6xxx CPU to maximize IO and at least eight x8 slots (or four x16). So far, the only AMD-based server that has everything is the HP DL585 G7, but I keep looking. The C6100, on the other hand, should make a great VM cluster server.

512MB version also around for those wanting it for their C6100's
Its listed as a LSI9260/9261, but looks identical to a 9267 minus 512MB of Cache
I doubt it is as SAS2108's come with 2pin Key headers, SAS2208 have 3, some one with endlessly deep pockets needs to find out for us.

LSI MegaRAID SAS TB-EVAL 6Gb 双核 512M 9260-8i 9261-8i
I just brought this card from there.
The title means it's performance is better than 9260/9261.
The seller said its called: LSI MegaRAID SAS TB-EVAL. (I searched the info about this card, than I found here :) )

And I found a ID on driver's oemsetup.inf
MR-TB-EVAL.DeviceDesc = "LSI MegaRAID SAS TB-EVAL"

Looks to be the mezzanine version of the 9271-8i.
NEC use the 1GB version (LSI 9267-8i) in their servers, see earlier posts for more info.

This is quite a cool wee card as it will fit in smaller enclosures, but the SAS2208 gets real hot and keeping it cool in a small case may become a nightmare.

Can I buy a better cooler (some kind of gpu cooler maybe) for it?

Could you tell me the what kind of cooler can install for it? Thanks!

I'd just get the 9360 series (12gbps) supposively they are adding 4k sector support soon to the megaraid lineup.

The 9360 won't be as small as the 9267, need the 9367 ;)

As for cooling, you need to make a custom solution should you have problems
Probably best cooling is server style cooling where a bank of fans are pushing air from front/rear of case to rear/front

You could watercool it :)

Far left is Areca. there are also aftermarket copper heatsinks like the one on the other end of the card, those drop temps tremendously.

1U and 2U servers in controlled air conditioning need none of that. What ducting is made for ;)

Looks cool though.
