i begin to check whats going on now. the AMI licence sticker on the USB B is no coincidence. The USB B port is just a serial port for the motherboard

what do you think about this ?
AMI Provides Firmware for both BIOS and BMC on Intel customer reference board using Xeon Processor D-1500 Product Family and the AST2300 BMC
do you have on the back of the 2x LAN Ports a MegaRAC licence sticker ? if yes what is printed on ?Yes, I get it now too. But that does not bring me much further.

you have payd the ebay global shipping costs and the VAT not ot the seller, you probably won't get that money back.I'm currently really thinking about returning that board
yes and ? whats printed on ? SP or PM or what ? 2003 ? that gives more information of the capability.

That might be true, but there is no real reason for ASRock (And Akamai) to remove the GUI. And I've never seen the BMC actually respond to any ipmitool requests through the external ip. We will only know for sure if someone dumps the firmware.I imagine there really was no point for the design of this board to include any sort if GUI KVM thing, all of the software is either remote controlled or CLI anyway, and a SoL session is more than enough for that.
The only place you really could need a KVM via the BMC is if you run bare-metal Windows.
i wonder why the two right LAN ports have MAC stickers and the left (COM_LAN1) have none...
Yes, I see the BMC get an IP.but you see on the BIOS POST screen the BMC get a IP like this right ?

can you reconfigure your router to i.e. 192.168.0.x and check if the BMC IP changes or not. if not its static, if yes its DHCP.IPMI Static IP on screen is "192.168.178.97"
I have set it to 192.168.178.97.can you reconfigure your router to i.e. 192.168.0.x and check if the BMC IP changes or not. if not its static, if yes its DHCP.
