1) BIOS version is old, it supports 240W TDP CPUs (they call them Amazon CPU)

These are decomissioned AWS boards then? If they are ML boards then that makes more sense why it's all high bandwidth ports and the 2NVME's are for local cached drives.

If so that would explain why ASROCK cannot disclose as they were custom built for Amazon and NDA's would prevent them from sharing info.

NO. they can handle TDC max.255A and TDP 240W means not they are Amazon custom builds.

They haven't even started. The seller of the board is away till 19th of March so I think it will arrive in the first week of April. And I still need to find a cheap ES cpu.

Sounds good, picked up one of these boards and a chelsio 100gbps ocp 2.0 NIC, now just need to find a CPU and heatsink for my 3U beige box.

Trying to see if I can get this board to fit in here... the FSP-460-621UA PSU is hopefully enough for this I'm not really sure if there are other replacements I can get in this form factor. It looks like it will be able to fit a 110mm tall heatsink (116mm of clearance).
