nice, but for that price i can get supermicro dual socket.
but one advantage is the 6+1 VRM, required if you want to use heavy AVX512 loads.
Just wondering if it's compatible with Platinum P-8124.

I have bought 2x P-8124 and don't have a motherboard yet.

P-8124 stepping B1 cpuid 50653
doubt that, but there is a chance to modd the BIOS. i have done on supermicro BIOS(AMI), ASRock Rack BIOS(AMI) is tricky.
Gigabyte MD71-HBx supports P-8124 with stock BIOS. supermicro's need VRM upgrade.

Only find one MD71 on ebay, and it's too expensive...
Do you have a guide to modd the supermicro Mobo to support P-8124?

Thanks again!

now you know why the P-8124 are no nice cheap.
i have a BIOS for ASRock EP2C621D12 WS, but not tested.

first you need to do a VRM upgrade to support TDP 240W / TDC=255A

then take a BIOS 3.1 and replace microcodes. fortunaly the latest MC for cascade lake B0 & B1 are small, so you don't have to remove one.
50653 <- P-8124
50654 <- SKL
50655 <- CLX A0
50656 7800 CLX B0 (from BIOS 3.5)
50657 7C00 CLX B1 (from BIOS 3.5)

My MB is on the way to Germany. I expect it to arrive by Friday. I'll then write a longer post about all the ports, IPMI etc

I never had such a long shipping time to Germany, as soon as it arrives at Pitney Bowes it will be handled by DHL Express
depends on what the seller pays for. my last eGSP was delivered to UK, then by Hermes to DE.

I'll have mine showing up this weekend, but I don't have any CPUs to test it with currently.

I have one coming Intel Xeon Silver 4116 ES QK5N to test from china.
And I'm thinking about grabbing a 6138P but that will be coming from Europe.

So bad news...

This board will not work with the Xeon Gold 6138P mixed FPGAs.

After looking at the power phases it looks like this board has 2 DRAM voltage rails 1 Vcore CPU Rail and 4 AUX CPU rails as specified by the Skylake Spec.

It also looks like that FPGA flash is for the GLU logic on the mobo for fan control and other misc features.

womp womp, was hoping to get one of those FPGAs, I guess I should just get a PAC card.

4 looks good then.
VCC IN (FIFR -> core voltages)
VCC SA
VCC IO
CD_VCC_CORE ( CD = Companion Die )
