These are also available on Newegg and Amazon from seller goharddrive at coincidentally the same price: HP / SK Hynix 1.92TB 2.5-inch 7mm SATA III MLC (6.0Gb/s) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) HFS1T9G32MED-3410A (HPE Model : VK1920GFLKL / P/N: 838403-005) - New OEM w/ 5 Years Warranty - Newegg.com

In the past I've read reviews where it was alleged smart data was wiped by this seller...so I'd be a bit cautious.

Yeah... I saw those on newegg, and saw that people on here gave mixed reviews... Supposedly even though they aren't new, their customer service is great and you can easily return or get some credit back on them... I just want them to actually be the make and model they say and not some counterfeit nonsense... for the price, I could take the risk and get my money back if they don't work out.

Yeah, heads up on goharddrive -- they wipe SMART data on drives before shipping so there's no way to tell what condition the drive is actually in. I'm not sure if they can do the same on SSDs so if someone feels brave and wants to buy one and post SMART stats I'm all ears.

dbskyusa88 has some negative feedback that worries me When asked about warranty, we'd have to return to the seller to get replaced...it's a risk there if such a business still exists at the time of warranty claim.

Whenever I see a long term warranty that's provided by an ebay seller rather than the manufacturer I associate pretty much no value with it and assume that it won't work. It's like a mail in rebate. Assume you won't get anything and anything you do get is a pleasant surprise, but don't make your purchasing decision based on it.

does anyone have any detailed specs on these (mainly Write endurance - clearly they are stated as Read Intensive tho)? or can point to a PDF data sheet? (if i find ill post).

this is all i could find so far from a vendor selling them for 1300$ (chance this is a different drive , but the model # matches whats in the ebay listing):

PERFORMANCE
RANDOM READS 55000 IOPS
RANDOM WRITES 15000 IOPS
SEQUENTIAL READS 530 MBPS
SEQUENTIAL WRITES 445 MBPS
LOGICAL BLOCKS 512 Bytes
POWER 9 W

(none of below has much details, beyond a picts)
and i found this:
HPE PartSurfer

pict from HPE (matches):

I remember looking at these a while back and while they looked good and cheap for data the only specs I could find on power consumption terrifies me for a sata drive that was intended to be used just for file storage in my instance.
I assume 9w is maximum but still that could indicate a high idle.

Any idea if it has power loss protection features?
Sorry don’t remember as was not really a requirement for my use. As it was mostly cold to Luke warm files on non ZFS file systems it never really figured into it.

They are enterprise so I would assume so though.

I have purchased hundreds of drives over the years, from GoHardDrive.com, mostly refurb spinners for use in an enterprise lab. Reliability has been as good as new drives. When I did have failures they replaced them quickly and painlessly. I would have no concerns buying any drive from them.

I had one die 2 months out of warranty and they were kind enough to replace it. Good people.
