BTRFS from what I understand. I was also told they have a fixed version for parity calculations that they have been using for years.

since BTRFS is GPL, shouldn't their fix have been contributed back? or did their fix not get accepted?

I read somewhere that Oracle has all necessary patches but they don't commit it to the linux kernel becuase it doesn't fit their business case.

Here is the Backblaze v6 pod $6140 with rails Backblaze Storage Pod 6.0: Fully Assembled 60 Drive 600TB Storage Server

The Netgear costs more but you get a warranty, Software and bits like redundant PSU options. The Backblaze has two PSUs but they are not redundant. The Netgear also has a SAS option not just SATA.

$50/ drive more to have a supported solution versus complete DIY.
