Hello!

Sorry in advanced if I sound ignorant or like I don't know what I'm talking about (I really don't). Anyways, I have an AMD Epyc 7551 processor and an ASRock Epyc-D8 motherboard. I need some help understanding the post codes and why it's not booting into Ubuntu Server or into the BIOS. The post is 26. I don't know what that means or on how to fix it, but if someone can guide me through and tell me what to do and what it means, that would be awesome!

Thank you in advanced!

B. ^^^^ are you reading the code upside right lol.
C. What is the full system config, ram/gpu slots the ram is in...
D. Do you see any errors from IPMI?

A. It's a new build.
B. Most likely? It said LED1 right side up so I'm guessing so?
C. 128 GB of RAM. They are in the first and third slot on the left side and the last one and the third last one on the right.

I have a VGA to HDMI adapter that I'm using. When using that, nothing shows up.
on intel platform BIOS screen comes earlier. EPYC makes RAM stuff first and after complete the BMC VGA is enabled.
try only one RAM RDIMM, check which slot.
you have RDIMM yes ?
remove all PCIe cards.
motherboard in a chassis/case ? forgotten MB standoffs shorting the PCB ?
too weak PSU ?
EPYC inserted properly ?

Yes, EPYC is inserted properly. No, I have not put it in a chassis yet. The PSU is 750 watts.

What adapter are you using to go from vga to hdmi?
Have you tried looking at ipmi logs yet? If not, do so.

What ram are you using?
26 error code is ram initialization so either wrong ram, or poor seating of dimms and or cpu. You can over compress the cpu.
