Hi everyone! I am trying to figure out which PSU is compatible with Supermicro X10SRW-F. Initially Supermicro X10SRW-F with E5-2650L v4 and I got a SuperChassis 815TQ-R706WB which together they work perfectly fine. But since it was sitting in the middle of my appartment and it was too loud, I decided to find a ATX case for it and I found out it fits perfectly (for the most parts) with FRACTAL DESIGN DEFINE XL R2 BLACK (a case which my desktop motherboard was in it). So I bought a case for my own desktop and put the Supermicro X10SRW-F in FRACTAL XL R2 and since here is the manual of X10SRW-F, they wrote:

Although most power supplies generally meet the specifications required by the CPU, some are inadequate. In addition, the 12V 8-pin power connector located at JPWR1 is also required to ensure adequate power supply to the system.

I didnt hesitate. Now I tried it with be quiet SYSTEM POWER 9 600W as well as MSI MAG A750GL 750W, 80 Plus Gold. I can access IPMI, the LEDM1 (BMC Heartbeat LED) is blinking green, indicating that everything is fine, but when I click on the "Power On" button in IPMI of the Server, the button gets disabled, and it looks like it wants to turn on but nothing happens. After a few seconds a generic alert pops up with "Power on failed", the "Power On" enables again and it doesnt say anything else, there are no logs too! When I move the Motherboard back to the SuperChassis 815TQ-R706WB, everything goes back to normal and everything works!!

I am not 100% sure what is going on here. Has anyone faced this issue before? is there a way to find a way around this? any help is highly appreciated.

What happens when you hit the physical power button?

Check the wires for the button on the header for the correct polarity and try again.
