I need some help from the experts for a better suggestion. I decided to configure Microsoft Lync 2013 on my old PowerEdge R220 Rack server. I have another server that is working perfectly that is configured by the thinktel support teams. I’m planning to install the latest Windows server 2016 technical preview version on my old server. Currently, it is using Windows Server 2012 R2. I found a KB doc (http://support.thinktel.ca/kb/article/298-Install-Configure-Microsoft-Lync-2010-Client-and-Desk-Phones-(PDF)) to configure the Lync server 2010. Does this help to configure Microsoft Lync 2013 version? I have installed Windows server 2016 version on VMware and it is working without any issues.
What is your opinion on installing fresh Windows server 2016 OS on my PowerEdge R220 Rack Server? Has anyone tried it? Please share your suggestions.
