Hi all,

so i got bitten last friday by some seagate sata disk nonsense, and am in the process of replacing all seagates with HGST HDN724040AL's.
Since my old disks were 512 and my new ones are 4k, i have created a new pool ( tank2), and am now replicating every thing over from the old pool (tank).
After this process is complete i would like to active these snapshots, so i can actually use them.
After that is confirmed i can replace the disks and mirror them, delete my old pool, export/import tank2 as tank, and be done.

the question now is, how do i activate my ISCSI targets ( thin LU's) and NFS shares from the replicated datasnaps ?

This is quite easy.
While a replication is based on snapshots, the result is a regular filesystem.
Just delete the replication job and set the new target filesystem read/write

Then enable NFS for your filesystems

Then import the LUs.
If you know the old GUID you can enter otherwise use auto (autogenerates a new GUID),
then add targets, targetgroups and views again.

If you replicate, your new filesystem will be created below the selected target filesystem
If you for example want NFS1 below tank2, you must replicate tank/NFS1 -> tank2

If you recursively replicate tank -> tank2,
you will create tank2/tank with others like NFS1 below like tank2/tank/NFS1
