So I also purchased a Gigabyte MZ32-AR0 REV 1 and it was already updated to accept the Epyc 7663 that I purchased as a bundle from tugm, but mine is on BMC 12.49.06 and BIOS M18

do first a BIOS dump in BMC. i can convert to a RBU to flash it back to original.
check BIOS chip size(25q128=16mb,25l256=32mb)

Would his boards be any different than what you guys are using?

have heared from some the board stopped work after update firmware.
maybe newer BMC Firmware is unstable, i don't know.
i know some BIOS versions do a VR update. this can cause issue because i don't know what tugm has done.

Everything is running fine, but I don't see the ReBar setting anywhere, and that is what I am wanting to enable,

i can add ReBarUEFI to the dump and you flash it back(note this does not add a BIOS option)

It just adds ReBar behind the scenes basically, im assuming? I already made the dump. Message me how we can commuicate and do this. Thanks. I told him the reason I wanted to update and add ReBar, but he hasn't replied since that, so I don't know what his response will be, but I will add once I hear back.

But I just don't understand how the boards he sells could be different from everyone else's that is running these updated BIOS'es without any issues. Could he somehow have a unique nonspec version, or does he do this because he knows this BIOS works well without issues and just says to stay on it, just because? idk. I would just like to be current and have ReBar support. Everything else is working fine, minus ReBar. I didn't realize it didn't come out of the box when I went with this model, but then after I ordered it, I found this page, so I assumed that regardless, I'd be able to update and get it, so I didn't have to worry about anything. But the responses have me second guessing Thanks for offering to help.

I also looked through the release notes, and my current BMC firmware is so old. It looks as though there is a metric crap ton of updates since then. And since the BMC firmware is the same for both rev's, I'm not sure why he said to not update this either. It just doesn't make sense to me. And when i ask, I just don't get great responses. On one hand, it feels like he isn't fully understanding what I'm saying at times, and on the other, its just ehhhh. idk. Am I correct in thinking updating the BMC should be ok at the very least? Obviously, I don't want to brick my new AI server I just built. ok, ranting over for now ;p sorry for all the reply's, Im scattered brained and tired today, and not stopping to gather all my thoughts and just typing as I go ;p I will pause for a bit.

you need to run an app to enable and set ReBar size.

must not different. there are many motherboard revisions out there.
just try to update BMC and BIOS but on your own risk.

another bought rev 1.0 from tugm in the past, update to new BMC and BIOS worked.

It worked. this thing flashed straight to the 3.0 BMC and BIOS just fine. Thanks for the help!

For future people reading this: The boards tugm sells (and probably others) will flash to the 3.0 BIOS. IMO to be on the safe side I'd flash to the latest 1.0 BIOS on the site first as an intermediate step but that may not be necessary.

Update your BMC firmware first before upgrading the BIOS.

When I dumped the BIOS image from BMC, i got a file bios_image.bin, that was 32mb.

Yeah, I read through the whole thread and saw that. I guess what worries me is him actively pushing me not to. I feel like its a normal rev 1, but he just made me nervous by his replies, but I really need ReBar, and always thought updating was a sure thing with this board, especially since it was preloaded with a 7003 BIOS. Im hoping he is just trying to be safe in that, it works, leave it be, but the whole reason I built this server was for multi GPU local AI, so I really need ReBar.
