Mystery Supermicro motherboard X9DRL-IF-O

I've been looking for a dual 2011 socket motherboard in the ATX form factor. I came across the Amazon page for the Supermicro X9DRL. If you look at the photo, it clearly shows a 16x PCI-E slot. However, the official Supermicro page and specs show only 8x slots. Any ideas on what motherboard is shown in the Amazon photo?

The number of SATA ports is also different from the spec page and Amazon photo.

My uneducated guess is that a PCIe x16 physical / x8 electrical that may have become an x8 physical (maybe open ended).

Another idea if you need an x16 slot:

I think I had something similar on a gigabyte board, it was a 16x slot physically but it only contained pins for 8x.
