Yes you'll be able to watch 4x 1080p movies at once with that :)

Boot time for me is a bit longer but I do have the M5015 taking up most of my boot time.

I still need to get a Wireless Keyboard/mouse combo, logitech looks the best.
I have a logitech remote that I can program other remotes with.

The i5-3450T will happily over clock to 4Ghz on stock voltage, that is as fast as the multiplier goes on the motherboard.
OCing the Bclock gives bugger all better results.
Not looked too closely at this as it's not priority

I'm using the Logitech diNovo Mini. Great device although navigation does take a bit longer than with a real keyboard/ mouse.

I actually got an i5-3450 (non T) version yesterday. Surprised it is still a 77w chip.

The S version uses a little less power, but is slightly slower at 4 threads at once on the go, but same Turbo max.
Wht even make the non S version ?
It just makes it all complicated for the unwary.

Intel have really to me made a giant mess of the CPUs.
Why all these different power versions, are they trying to sell every die that comes from the fabrication plant.

The i5-3470 comes in:
3470 - 3.2/3.6Ghz 4c/4t 77w HD2500
3470S - 2.9/3.6Ghz 4c/4t 65w HD2500
3470T - 2.9/3.6Ghz 2c/4t 35w HD2500
3475S - 2.9/3.6Ghz 4c/4t 65w HD4000

Should the 3470T really be called what it is as it's not like the other in a heap of ways

If you want some more choice in cases you could opt to go with a pico-psu and a 12v brick. The more powerful ones might just do fine with about 3 disks.

Maybe my simplest build ever.. An mbox case, intel ssd, pico psu and this board: Motherboards - E35M1-I DELUXE
This has been surprisingly adequate watching 1080p content over the last several years. One serves home HTPC needs, another is a production floor web workstation at work. Inexpensive, efficient, completely fanless, dead silent and zero issues after 3 yrs + of use. I was hesitant on the pico psu/power brick at first but four units (other two are pfsense using jetway boards, same case and pico psu), two running 24-7 for five years now..and zero failures.

FYI, I built a htpc for my parents; quiet/passive, xbmc, 1080p bluray playback and 4 DVB-S2 tuners (tbs 6985) on xbmcbuntu. CPU is an i3 at 3.4Ghz, could have gone with less but wanted to make sure everything stayed smooth when extracting with Sabznd. Mobo was that popular Pro3. Havent really tested the tuners, but they are identified by tvheadend correctly. Will be buying a sat dish within a few months. Picopsu also, case is the streacom fc5 evo with bluray drive.

Best build ever made for me! :D
