Just installed the board with an 6140 for a quick test, the board came with R22 bios and its seems 100% functional. But now I need to mod the bios to add ram timings adjustments, rebar and other quality of life changes.

Is there a minimum AMIBCP version that I need to work with this board?
Talking about the rebar, is there a way to have it in the bios menu? Whats the recommend patch?
Do you guys dump the bios or just use the downloaded version from gigabyte?
After modding the bios do you "update" it using the BMC or something like fpt?

Regards

try (right ctrl + right shift) + F2
toggles from show/hide some add. options.

5.02.34 can open but sometimes not work.

the known working way is to add rebar.ffs (MMTool). but you don't get a BIOS option, you need to run an APP in linux/windows to enable/configure ReBar.

download, dump is modified by Intel ME at first start(may work but only on same motherboard)

BMCWebGUI: create new RBU file from modified BIN.

The advanced menu with the hotkey is amazing, it has everything in it RolloZ170.
Im little insecure about the rebar + rbu hex edit.

My MU71-SU0 came with bios R22, but I can only find R21 for download. Aside of that is there any way for me to brick the board because of a bad bios edit?

Following xCuri0 MMtool guide, but cant find Pcibus to fill Vol Index
Tried to manually fill it with volume 02:01-00 but it fails
Tried to do a test run picking volume 03:02-05 in MMtool for rebar and copying the last line from rbu to bin, but update fails with invalid image warning :(

you have copied the footer and calculated the new checksum and replaced the two checksum bytes ?

Got it! I did include the header in the checksum calculation at first, that why it failed. Now its going thru. Hoping rebar works.

Boot looping.
Added the rebar dxe here, but it was just a guess, as I was unable to find pcibus entry.
Would you mind to have a look at the correct volume index RolloZ170?

Is there a way to alow the processor (cascade lake) to use more power and keep clocks higher while doing heavy AVX512?

i do not have all the specs. ask owners for the AVX512 clock bin tables.
maybe 8251C ?
