This post has received prior approval subject to STH’ers getting an additional discount off of their bundle pricing. I have spoken to the Natex folks and we do have members who have purchased these motherboards/ chips from them.

Please keep discussion of this offer contained to this thread

Why is the bundle more than the sum of it's parts?

Motherboard: $175
CPUs: $130 ($65 x 2)
RAM: $160 ($20 x 8)
Total: $465

Or I can get the bundle of the same or equivalent parts for $522.50 after the coupon code. What am I missing here?

I'm glad someone said it. Maybe they're charging a lot for the heatsinks? If you got the way over top dynatron R15 vapor chamber 1U heatsinks that's be about the $60 difference: http://www.amazon.com/Dynatron-R15-Chamber-Passive-stacked/dp/B006MNFMBG/

But those heatsinks aren't those fancy Dynatron ones. You can see a steel/ aluminum piece around the screws not all copper like that Dynatron R15. The top fin pattern does not match the cheaper dynatron either.

Used how much do heatsinks go for? Maybe 2 for $10 or $15? The new in box with thermal pads are even like $20 for 1.

They have a $15 price on ddr3 1333 rdimms but some places do way overcharge for used memory and maybe they've got way higher pricing on the 1600?

At these prices #1 is *yawn*. #2 seems like a nice setup if you can find compatible drive trays. #3 might be good if you're into older stuff.

$305 mobo + CPU - 5% = $290 would be hot tho.

But the same heatsinks are also shown in the picture for the bare motherboard. Are they not included when buying just a motherboard?

It's $20 a stick. I provided a link. I don't think that qualifies as "way higher".

The combo does not make sense at all. I just bought the the MB+ 2 CPUs. I spoke to them and the passive heat sinks are included in the $175 price. I already had enough 8GB memory from their ebay auction few days ago. just for grins, I tried the 5% off 'S2600CPPACK' and it did work early this afternoon. Fedex residential shipping to TX is ~$24.

The bundles make perfect sense. They let Natex offer the discount Patrick requires to use this site for free advertising, getting people to contact them - while at the same time allowing them to actually collect MORE money than they would have from anyone foolish enough to take their "deal".

Its a lot like the phantom discounts game the FTC went after a few years ago - raise your "list" print and then offer a "50% off" sale at a net price higher then you ever sold the item for in the past.

Call me a cynic :)

I've bought from them before, had a good experience. Pam, if you are listening, do something to fix this as these prices seem very off.

Sorry for the Bad Deal #1. It doesn't make sense. I think I mixed it up with the 128GB deal I was originally going to list.

Mobo - $175
CPUs - $130
RAM - $320

That's $625

$545 - 5% = $498.75 so that's at least better.

I noticed clicking the Pack 1 link that pricing is $465 now.

I'm not trying to be the wet blanket, but they're selling equivalent RAM separately for $170, not $320 (two of these). The RAM in the package is 1333MHz, not 1600MHz.

Mobo: $175
CPUs: $130
RAM: $170
----------------
Total: $475

a bit off-topic:
I was about to (possibly) order some RAM, as price would be way better than in EU ... but:

On the FAQ there is this:

"Do you ship to my country?
Please create an account by clicking the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site. During signup we'll ask for your shipping address details including country. If your country is not in the dropdown menu of available countries, unfortunately we cannot ship to your country at this time."

Help: Answer

When creating an account, after entering E-Mail Adress / password etc. the only (!) country is U.S. - not even Canada.
This is quite frustrating, could have been stated in the FAQ, under international shipping, that there currently is no international shipping at all...

Thanks for your offer, but this would not solve the issue that also the invoice address is limited to U.S. currently.
Guess i will wait if someone offers some ram here in my wtb - thread or i can get it somewhere else for a while now.

Hi Alex
I am happy to ship to your location. Send me a PM and we can discuss the shipping. A lot of times the web site
comes up with higher rates than what I can get for you.

Thanks,
Pam
