I thing the last cx2 (sometimes also confused with cx1 - only revision number is different) has a latest of 2.10.720 that can be generated from mellanox. a 2.11.x might be with some modifications done by sun/oracle. I wouldn't expect someone from oracle jumping in and at least shedding some light on the matter. one of the sure points is the bar mem space being burned in higher as a default on the sun variant - which is why some have trouble booting the card on some hardware.
