Has anyone run mixed RAID and JBOD volumes on a SAS 2108 controller? From the MegaCli documentation this seems to be possible (-EnableJBOD and -PDMakeJBOD).

Well, to answer my own question, on my PERC H800 I can -EnableJBOD just fine but -PDMakeJBOD doesn't work nor does marking the drive as JBOD through the BIOS.
