Has anyone tested what works in the "custom" pcie slot on this device?

Im considering saving some pennies and getting the 275hx version that comes without the 25gbe sfp card, as I only really need 10gbe networking here. And also it seems to be a power drain?

However it also means losing 2 nvme slots that I do need, and I have seen a post on reddit saying that a lot of add in cards dont work in that slot?

If I can't replace it with a pcie card with multiple nvme slots (that works) then its probably better to get the 285hx version

All card that work in a x4 slot will work. But neither the comb card delivered with the 285HX nor the ENPBA card will work.

For up to 4 additional NVMe drives you can use a card with the PLX88024 multiplexer chip in this slot. It works fine with x8, x4 and x1, of course with lower performance.

What do you mean? Surely the combo card that comes with the 285hx works in that slot... it literally comes in that slot lol.

Or are you saying that slot on the 275 versions is different? Its listed as the exact same x4x4x4 custom bifurcation so I dont see why it wouldn't work, would be a weird thing to do considering minisforum make the only card option.

In Discord VIVY from MF wrote something like that. MF also doesn't offer this special card delivered with the 285HX. It is different from the offered ENPBA card.

The ENPBA card doesn't work in MS-02 in the special slot, but in the Gen5 x16 slot set to x8x4x4 bifurcation only., or in other computers able to set x8x4x4 or x4x4x4x4.

Hi,
What are you seeing as far as watts on these? If anyone is running one with somewhat minimal drives and memory, I'd like to know. A PGE victim here .
