Folks, anybody kind enough to post pictures of MS-01 fan (CPU and NVME) that also clearly show fan connector? Sorry my machine is in mission mode and hate to take it down just yet.

Got in touch with Aliexpress seller based on other poster recommendation, thanks! They do have these fan but want me to send additional pictures to confirm connector size and wiring color.

Thanks :)

Hey all, I've been through ALL of these posts before but with the eyes of what SSDs worked or not, but now I'm wondering what the consensus was for the best GPU. Was there ever a consensus? I'll probably take another hour or two eventually to look through everything but figured I'd ask before I do that again...

I have two Intel M.2 DC P4511 and I can't figure out how to make them fit without removing the fan. One will fit fine, all other locations blocked by the stock fan. Wanted to run them as as mirror. Or if anyone has a suggestion for a PCIe M.2 card that fits (22110), I'm taking suggestions.

Samsung PM983 3.84TB M.2 22110 PCIe Gen3 X4 NVMe SSD MZ1LB3T8HMLA

There are PCI M.2 cards out there that can do 22110 but thing to keep in mind that even through slot is x8, it can't do bifurcation, so you'll have to get card with PCI switch, which means extra power and of course money.

How can I use the samsung to make my Intel M.2 drives fit, does it come with a PCIe card or something?

I don't need help with bifurcation, I know the CPU doesn't support it.

hi i'm using the same drive with this cheap pcie adapter without issue : https://amzn.eu/d/6wwLZN0.
So you can use one in the middle M2 slot and one in the pci slot

Does anyone have a compatibility issue with SSD Crucial 500BX (CT500BX500SSD1) on U.2 adapter? I put the switch to U.2 mode. The disk is not detected :(

SSDs are using the SATA interface.
U.2 drives uses PCIe lanes.

You can not use SSDs in the U.2 slot.

I'll be documenting it on my channel but main things are:

Kubernetes cluster
Ceph storage
Thunderbolt ring network for backhaul
A few VMs etc for testing (passthrough for GPU)
Try and do HA firewall
Ive been running a thunderbolt backhaul for a few weeks now. It's great. I found that I had to pin the thunderbolt IRQs to the big cores, otherwise I'd get inconsistent throughput.

I also have inconsistency with thunderbolt network interface and fabric network coming up automatically after a rebootm
