Maybe MS-01 doesn't work right with dual 48gb memory sticks... product page says max 64gb and those errors from rasdaemon can be voltage issues.
Yeh, I tried both, with the same results. Thanks for the reply anyway. Could some confirm me if the sfp ports are listed somewhere in the bios and where? If they are listed and I don't see them, def it's a hardware issue.Did you try plugging the card back in? Try taking the memory out boot it then power off put memory back in. If it's not showing up in either OS it's def hardware, return it get a replacement.
Which page was that? This one: MinisforumClub or this one: Minisforum?I see on their Facebook page someone asked about compatible video cards and the response was "We're working on a version that comes with a GPU, and it will be available soon."
Be interesting to see what they shoehorn in there, whether this has an impact on the CPU options, and whether this consumes the PCIE slot.
Many of us are using 48gb sticks non problem, while not officially supported it works fine.Maybe MS-01 doesn't work right with dual 48gb memory sticks... product page says max 64gb and those errors from rasdaemon can be voltage issues.

Such a same, I was too happy with the hardware until now...

Oh, I see. Thanks. I don't know, they just disappeared after removing the pci card, I think I am going to ask for a replacement and wait for another 2 months for itThe SFP ports are not listed in the bios just the 2.5g ports.

Did you test multiple sfp's?Oh, I see. Thanks. I don't know, they just disappeared after removing the pci card, I think I am going to ask for a replacement and wait for another 2 months for it
Yep, I tested the 2 sfp ports, with sfp rj45 and fiber modules, but still they doesn't appear. Before the pci removal I could saw the 2 ports also whitout any modules inserted. I hope Amazon make a repleacement instead of a refund.Did you test multiple sfp's?
Yeah they should, they always push replacement over refund. That is why I will only buy Chinese manufactured computers from Amazon in case they don't work/break etc.Yep, I tested the 2 sfp ports, with sfp rj45 and fiber modules, but still they doesn't appear. Yes I didn't see anything after waiting a while - hard shutdown - spammed del - got UEFI after a wait - "fiddled with settings" (I really don't remember) - saved and exited - nothing changed - did it all again - it booted straight into a USB Windows install. Once I updated drivers and firmware under Windows, I installed Debian Trixie and haven't had any issues since.Should I assume that you saw nothing and then went into the UEFI by using Del., then set the windows secure boot? After this you got a splash screen? When I get my next one I want to make sure that it is the MS-01 having the problem -- not me. Regrettably Amazon does not have more of them and would only refund my purchase, I wanted another unit. I will now have to place another order with MinusForum.
Bad RAM is the number one thing I fixed on clients PCs, once spinning drives were replaced by flash. I have the worst "luck" with Amazon supplied RAM. I "think" Crucial and others send factory seconds to Amazon.Maybe they should memtest the 48gb sticks if others are not having issues. They could have some bad sticks.
Fiddly is a good word for Minisforum QCI can't imagine non-techie people buying one of these and just expecting them to work (not suggesting that's you), I think they'll be disappointed. I don't think Minisforum is big on QC. Each of the three I've had delivered, have needed something to run reliably (for the whopping 3 weeks they've been running). I still they are cool for what they are... just kinda fiddly.
RAM not being seated well is definitely something that'll hinder your boot - for all 3 of mine, it was a fight to get the RAM fitted in correctly.
Totally agree test everything because if you don't and the problem breaks something down the road and your outside the return window you have to eat the costs.Bad RAM is the number one thing I fixed on clients PCs, once spinning drives were replaced by flash. I'd memtest/testmem/prime95 all new PCs, CPUs and RAM modules. Things happen, manufacturing anything is not perfect.
Eh… I’d much prefer if they swapped out the 10 gbps SPF ports for a mobile GPU (same lanes) and then expose another 2 Thunderbolt ports using the physical space previously occupied by the SPF ports so we have 2 x 32 gbps more PCIe bandwidth to do whatever with. The ability to have a PCIe AIC of our own choosing is one of MS-01’s primary selling points after all.I see on their Facebook page someone asked about compatible video cards and the response was "We're working on a version that comes with a GPU, and it will be available soon."

Their contact us page links to MinisforumClub, so I assume it's at least semi-official.Which page was that? This one: MinisforumClub or this one: Minisforum?

Hey All,
I noticed something weird with the X710s on the MS-01s, they dont seem to like the many varieties of passive copper dac cables that I have. I see error on my switch interface, the same copper dac's seem to work ok with my collection of x520 cards. Anyway I switched the copper cables in my MS-01s to Fiber active AOC and I no longer see errors.
Soon that i will get myne i have FS DACs, HPE DACs, UI DACs and HPE Tranceivers for Fiber so i will test with all of them and see what i get.Interesting maybe that is the issue with others having errors
