Minio on Proxmox

Anyone using Minio for object storage and Proxmox? Tips on best ways? Using ZFS storage and a docker container? VM? Bare metal?

With MinIO deprecating storage gateway mode and from other reading prior, I think they're more focused on enterprise customers than open source and supporting all users. So best to use another project in my opinion at least.

MinIO is dead as an open-sourced product

I am currently switching my napp-it cs storageserver for any OS including Proxmox from minio to RustFS,
a 1:1 replacement of minio

Plus vs minio
- very easy to setup
- very resource efficient
- faster with small files
- very easy to setup
- Rust instead Go
- license less restrictive

Minus
- currently a first 1.0 beta , stable expected mid 2026
- not so many options than minio
