Hi.
I've been looking around for some cheap SFP+ solution with more than 4 ports in a single switch, but mt seems to be unbeatable in this price range of <1000 USD, it's actually like us $240 on amazon.
Anyone has some issues with these? Do they need additional cooling if used at home with avg ambient air temp of 30C? Do they actually deliver at least 40gigs(4 fully utilized ports)? I only intend to use SwitchOS not routeros, and this supports both, much like it's small brother CRS305.
Should I be looking at something else? If yes, what?

Yes, it'll do that and more. Just be sure to install the current SwOS 2.13 or higher.
You will definitively want to get the CRS309 over the 305 for it's better switch chip. They're adding wirespeed routing with RouterOS 7 (currently beta) and the 309 actually support NAT and Fasttrack connections while the 305 does not.
