Hey there,

So I've currently purchased some new hardware for my Esxi/napp-it aio as I couldn't fit any more drives in the current case.

I'm currently planning the migration from old to new hardware.
I'm going to do a fresh install of esxi and napp-it ovf on the new hardware.

When it comes to the zfs storage, is it just a case of exporting on the old system, move the drives and then importing on the new one?
Does an export/import maintain all th nfs shares etc? Or do I need to do something to bring those across?

Thanks in advance.

On Solarish NFS and SMB shares are true ZFS properties so ZFS settings remain so a pool export+import is enough. If you want to keep napp-it settings, save/restore /var/web-gui/_log/*

If you want a real disaster backup/restore with all OS and application settings then save the current active BE to you datapool (napp-it replication job), install a minimal OS and restore the BE and activate to boot into.
