You mean the bios reset jumper? Recovery via usb with the firmware that the guys above posted?
yes exactly...cause i also did and set back the jumper to default....then when im boot the blade, i was asking about a key to install OS, and the ventoy-stick was able to manage this key "feature"...restart and install OS

i put the video card in slot #3 pcie.....manual says #1 but it works from also from #3
yes this accelerator get very hot, you have to keep the bladecase closed, otherwise the airflow is interrupt and now flow thru the accelerator.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to servers and hope someone here has the time and patience to help me.
I bought the same server from Piuspartslab as described here and I'm stuck at the same three LEDs as shown in the photo above.
I have a few questions:
Will the server boot with just one CPU, or is it absolutely necessary to install both CPUs?
If two CPUs need to be installed, do they have to be identical, or can I use different ones from the 7001 series?
As I've read, rewriting the BIOS would be helpful. This probably works via IPMI tools or SSH access. Could someone give me a hand with what I need to enter?

this sets the factory defaults. should be happend with CMOS clear thought but not sure.
i did not sayd you need two CPU in any case.
just they have to be same.
i found out, system is more stable when i put just one Ram-stick per channel. a1, b1 and i1, j1. More bandwidth...
usually a bios should be installed. i cant say if any was installed on my boar/blade cause after few failed tries to boot i use the "recovery from usb" mode...

With one pair, the server behaved differently:
The POST LEDs lit up alternately for a few minutes.
Finally, only LEDs 0, 2, and 3 were lit.
Unfortunately, I still can't get an image.
The computer is accessible via IPMItools.
Does anyone know if I can use these tools to read status messages that might help me?
I'll try a few more things tomorrow and report back.

Not so easy to see in the picture.
The RAM I'm using is: PC4-2666V-RD1-11 on banks A1 and A2.
IPMI means the horse and the hay are there. But it can't tell if the horse is still alive or if it has eaten the hay.
I've tried clearing the CMOS. I've also tried recovery via USB. The POST LEDs keep cycling through the menus.
Could anyone tell me what the error pattern would be if the CPU had a vendor lock?
Is there anything else I can do besides trying a different CPU or RAM?

if you have only one CPU try with A1 only.
