Hello.

My server is also displaying an image thanks to the kind assistance of manuelc.

A serious warning regarding GT 600 and 700 series graphics cards.

They use different chipsets, including the Fermi chipset. This is not UEFI compatible. This also applies to the GT 6xx and 7xx cards. It's best to check what chipset you have if the screen remains dark...

Thanks again to everyone for the help and have a nice weekend.

Norbert

correct. for me a Zotac GT 630 works but was a GK chip which seems rare model, sorry for the confusion.

Hi, does anyone have the latest BIOS files for AMD Rome/Milan? I found the files for Naples in the replies.

But there are also boards in this series that support Epyc Milan, right?
no this is other motherboard, maybe they swapped these with the new ones.
this board can not run Milan, and there is no BIOS for Rome from factory.
same with the dual 3647(intel) runs 1st Gen. there is a model for 2nd Gen.(MS Cerberus) but the BIOS is not interchangable.

there are no "Open Compute Project - Project Olympus" EPYC 7003 Milan motherboards.
at the time of design (2016/17) only Naples was alive.
the description of the seller was faulty because they have no clue, they never wrote Milan but 7003.

Hi, i have a gt730 from gigabyte. It's ddr5 so i'm 99% sure that it is GK208. BUT i don't have any video output. The server is stable and i can connect to the BMC with the supermicro ipmi view, turn it off/on...
the 1,2,4 POST leds are on. Do you or anybody have an idea?
also, the gpu fan is on so that's kind of strange...

thanks

code 16
nothing todo with GPU.
Thanks for the answer, i was starting to think the same thing.
Do we know exactly what is means for this server? I couldn't find the postcodes meaning in the ocp files.

Also is there a better way to connect to the BMC?

pull the GPU and report the port80 port pls.
and the code with GPU but wthout RAM.
without ram but gpu: led 4
no gpu but ram: led 1,2 and 4
connecting to port80 result in a fail with telnet and test-netconnection
only connection i get is from port 623.

misunderstoud.
the POST code LEDs are on port80

change without RAM. possible incompatibility. try only A1 and if same other RAM.
even with new ram, and only on a1 the motherboard boots instantly and the leds 1,2 and 4 are instant. i'm sure it can't initialize the new ram in that time. I tried with some 8gb samsung and micron (2133mhz though but shouldnt matter) rdimm.
All my ram and the gpu were pulled from working pc/server. It could be the cpu i bought it just for this server.

yes, maybe defective or vendor locked one.
i also tried booting from bios and hdd with the ipmi view but still no video output. The hdd only starts spinning when booting from it when choosing next boot option as: uefi hdd. so that's weird.

I guess i need to find an other cpu to keep troubleshooting. Is there any way i have a corrupted bios? I have read that maybe the bios need confirmation from the bmc in a way to keep booting ?
