also these are running hot. keep in mind they need really active cooling, not just some silent 120mm fan near them. also 10-20% left - no go for me.

Not worth it if only 10-20% left. You can do better. I would pay slightly more for a 3610 if I want high endurance. The various sandisc ecos I’ve bought over last two years all came no lower than 95% left. Last october I scored some 1.6tb 3610s for $60 a piece. All 99% and above but those prices are now gone. Minimum of 50% up for similar drives.

You know those spammy amazon reviews, where someone completely ignored all the negative ones, but somehow fixated on the only positive review to make up their mind...then complained later that they didn't know any better. I'm guessing it's the "all those ppl must be lying to keep the deal to themselves" effect :D:D
