I purchased Samsung 64GB (8 X 8GB) M393B1K70CH0-CH9 8GB DDR3 PC3-10600R SERVER MEMORY on ebay from an Israeli seller. A friend jokingly told me they might put spyware on the RAM. I doubt that.

But these screenshots are worrying me:

It says it is Fujitsu and the part number is missing and many fields don't say or show conflicting information. Have I gotten some fake or mislabelled ram or is that just a bug in CPU-Z?

System specs:
Board: Supermicro X9DRL-iF
CPUs: 2x Xeon E5-2670

Looks like cpu-z isn't recognizing it properly... doesn't mean it is fake... cat our meminfo in linux and see what that says. See what the motherboard thinks it is in ipmi too.

Windows 10 may not be passing through the spd settings correctly.

Total Width: 72 bits
Data Width: 64 bits
Size: 8192 MB
Form Factor: DIMM

So It might just be a problem with the Live CD Windows 10 I was booting up to do a few tests.

The telltale sign that the SPD is being misread is all of the "04" you see (in the serial number and the date code). The JEDEC manufacturer code (JEP106) for Fujitsu is also 04.

64MB SDRAM modules...brings back memories :)

Amazingly, Micron (at least) still makes SDRAM chips as of 05/2015...
