I was made aware of the button cell battery during my reviewing the documentation.
I also just acquired two SX6036 switches (HP version).
When i opened them to check the battery for leaks, etc. I saw neither had a battery.
Why is it used?
Is it normal to not have one?
Is it required?
I plan on getting then and installing them, but would like to know what the story behind them is.
