Yes most likely its not included.
You can get one from MLX for $$$, a new fellow on the board is also offering them via PM for a "bargain price" or you can read the thread I linked earlier and identify a way to get one there (if you ask nicely) :)

I already have a EMC SX6012 on the way to do the conversion, so I think i'll skip this one, was just curious how that would work.

Very good, its a fun project:)
If importing from the US on the 12's or 18's wouldnt have been so damn expensive (p&p) I'd have gotten another one of those too, but these here are actually cheaper and hopefully better (o/c more ports for more power but also the option to upgrade to the latest OS)

I paid €315 for the SX6012 with the large square mounting thing and 3x MCX354A-QCBT with shipping and VAT.

Not as good as this, but I'm okay with it.

Still less that what I paid for my CRS317 with no NICs.

Yeah I did before (from link) but it is not working with every combination of P/M + S/N (I checked on two SX1036 before) , so I will ask this new fellow .

Really? Good to know - though 1036 is not 6036, maybe thats the problem there - not sure if that is VPI capable at all or only EN (which might mean the license is not "valid" as it does not match capabilities).

No no it is the same platform with the same functionality (SX1036/6036), there is a large number of combination S/N + P/N + license codes.

Beeing more the quiet reader, thanks a lot for the great deal section, couldn't resist and ordered two of them for my homelab for an accepted offer of 100€ each.

Again thank you very much!!!

I bought one, seems to be IBM branded, sadly no ethernet license :(

Anyone here with experience in conversion?

Its supposed to be IBM (Lenovo) and hopefully you dont need to convert just install the license that you need to identify how to get (from) from the thread i linked

Edit - got mine too, just like hoped/expected
switch is reset, so uses DHCP. Default user also reset to admin/admin.
Update with latest HP image - no problem - just note it takes a few (5-10) mins to come up after the upgrade, probably postprocessing due to the massive jump in versions

Power consumption (during upgrade):

Edit2: Actual power consumption from the wall is a bit higher at ~50W
