Mellanox sx-6036 port splitting

Can someone please walk me through a port split. I'm wanting to split port 34 in to 2 10-gig port. When logged into switch with putty what do I do before I enter the command

Interface 1/34 module-type qsfp-split-2 force

have tried both from the > prompt and enabled # prompt- sure I'm not in the right mode for the instuction.

the switch says unrecognized command "interface"

You're missing the eth after interface

interface ethernet 1/34 module-type qsfp-split-2

To close the loop on this, before you can execute the command above you have to be in configure mode. You have to use a "configure terminal" command from enable mode to get there.
